Welcome to my site. I am excited to have my own little corner on the web.

I really enjoy website design. I got into website design when I saw that my brother-in-law had one. I fooled around with it, and finally figured out how to build a website working just with HTML code. I used to use notepad. Wow! Things have certainly changed since then. I was introduced to Front Page and Dream Weaver. I know Front Page much better than Dream Weaver. So, I pretty much stick with it. Once I became proficient at web design, I started to work on getting better at graphic design. I was lucky enough to have a good friend show me how to use some of the cooler aspects of Adobe Photoshop. I've designed sites for friends, family, and even one of the places I worked. I've even been fortunate enough to make some money off of my hobby here and there. I made a site for Dom and me years ago. I had fun with it, but it was one of those free sites. I finally got fed up with the pop up ads and took it down. I also learned from my experience, you won't find any annoying pop ups or ads here.

One of the main reasons I enjoy having a website, as opposed to having just a blog site or something along those lines, is because I enjoy creating in this medium. On a blog site, you get a pre-designed page. You may get to chose a background or a font color, but you don't get to chose how it's navigated, how it's organized, or how it's put together. I enjoy setting all that up. I also enjoy designing the graphics and the buttons. I may want to rip my hair out during the design process, and redo it 20 times, but I end up with something that is completely my work, my art, and I get to share it.

You may wonder how I chose the name for the site. Well, in between being a flight instructor and being an airline pilot, I was a flight attendant. It was a foot in the door for me. I learned a lot about the airline business during my time as a flight attendant and I had fun. I did it for just under a year before I got hired as a pilot. Female flight attendants, as I learned, are also commonly referred to as 'Sky Goddesses.' That name is not limited to female flight attendants, it's for female crew members in general. So, I thought it would make a good title for a website. And what do you know? It wasn't taken!

So, that's how this all came to be. I tend to update the blog at least once a week, sometimes more, sometimes less. There are plenty of pictures to look at, as I take more that I want to share, I will post them.
